Fear mongering

Filed under: Execration — The Hater @ 11:04 am

Was anybody more unhappy that hurricane rita didnt destroy texas than the tv news? You could actually hear the disappointment in their voices as they described the lack of carnage. They spent 3 days amping up the fear quotient until they had worked themselves into a rabid froth, desperate for the chance to feed on peoples fear and sorrow. Almost every news story is designed to keep you scared. They want you afraid so that you keep watching them to find out how to avoid these bogus scares. When did the news go from keeping the public informed to the schlocky, People magazine, sound byte candy that it is now? They will lazily take whatever quote the White House hands out and report it as fact, but they fire the news team cannon whenever a kitten gets rescued from a fire. I really really want to blame the news organizations, but it isnt theirfault. It’s yours. You are all so fucking stupid and lazy that you cant keep your moronic brains focused on a news item that requires any thought. Some newscaster starts talking about government policy and your eyes glaze over like a junkie on the nod and hit the remote to reruns of Real World. This is why the U.S.A. is in the shitter right now. It’s because you are all too stupid and lazy to pay attention to how your country is being run and instead vote for whomever gives the best bulllshit sound byte. Tv news is just giving you what you want, Brad Pitt stories and dogs on water skies. Next time you want to bitch about your government, or that jounalists arent digging out the truth to protect us, remember that it is because you are a cretin

Screw the saudis!

Filed under: Execration — The Hater @ 7:35 pm

I despise people who forward emails with cutesy little jokes and/or chain letters meant to make the world a better place. Both types of e-mail are usually sent by either granola eating, tree hugging, dolphin kissing, hippy wannabes, or by 35 year old women who still have lots of stuffed animals and hello kitty underwear. Needless to say, I think both groups of people should get smacked with a bucket of hepatitis.
Now comes my anger, i read one that makes some sense. It pissed me off that this aroused my interest enough that I actually got off my lazy ass and researched its points. They were all true. I now present this annoyingly correct email to you. It is my dream that you all come to despise me for being one of those dicks that profilgates these kinds of emails. Today, I suck!

“The Saudis are boycotting American goods.

We should return the favor.

An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS.
Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid
putting more money into the coffers of Saudi
Arabia.
Just buy from gas companies that don’t import their
oil from the Saudis.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling
that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my
money to people who are trying to kill me, my
family, and my friends.

I thought it might be interesting for you to know
which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and
which major companies import Middle Eastern oil.

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:
Shell………………………. 205,742,000
barrels
Chevron/Texaco……… 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil…………… 130,082,000
barrels
Marathon/Speedway… 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco……………………….62,231,000
barrels
If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports
amount to over $18 BILLION! (oil is now $55-$60 a
barrel)

Here are some large companies that
do not import Middle Eastern oil:

Citgo………………….0 barrels
Sunoco……………….0 barrels
Conoco………………0 barrels
Sinclair……………..0 barrels
BP/Phillips…………0 barrels
Hess…………………..0 barrels
ARC0…………………0 barrels

All of this information is available from the
Department of Energy
and each is required to state where they get their
oil and how much
they are importing.”

Mike Myers, innocent bystander or candid statement enabler?

Filed under: Execration — The Hater @ 9:21 am

Do you think that if african-americans demographically voted for republican candidates that they would have had to wait 5 days for FEMA?

————————————————————————————

quote from press release by senator Landrieu D-LA:

“But perhaps the greatest disappointment stands at the breached 17th Street levee. Touring this critical site yesterday with the President, I saw what I believed to be a real and significant effort to get a handle on a major cause of this catastrophe. Flying over this critical spot again this morning, less than 24 hours later, it became apparent that yesterday we witnessed a hastily prepared stage set for a Presidential photo opportunity; and the desperately needed resources we saw were this morning reduced to a single, lonely piece of equipment. The good and decent people of southeast Louisiana and the Gulf Coast — black and white, rich and poor, young and old — deserve far better from their national government.”

Dutch viewer Frank Tiggelaar writes:

There was a striking dicrepancy between the CNN International report on the Bush visit to the New Orleans disaster zone, yesterday, and reports of the same event by German TV.

ZDF News reported that the president’s visit was a completely staged event. Their crew witnessed how the open air food distribution point Bush visited in front of the cameras was torn down immediately after the president and the herd of ‘news people’ had left and that others which were allegedly being set up were abandoned at the same time.

The people in the area were once again left to fend for themselves, said ZDF.

2 girls–Nice clean clothes- a white shirt– been in New Orleans for 5 days—just went hru HELL– Urine –feces–dead bodies floating around
Aaron Brown interviewed them, they said they’ve had water, ice and food the whole time. Got electricity back today. Said they came to Biloxi to look for clothing.WERE they LOOTING ? Never said where they came FROM. Had no idea what the hell was happening, and started out the interview with a clearly rehearsed spiel about how great they feel now that Bush is there.

CNN transcript
“BROWN: Before you met with the president today — and our viewers are seeing that now — before that, were you a little angry with the government and how the government had responded?

BRONWYNNE BASSIER, SURVIVOR: But, no, I wasn’t angry at the situation, because I knew eventually they will eventually help us in some sort of way. And, like my sister said, he did reassure us that things were going to happen. And I can see that they are happening, because I am in Gautier. And every day, there’s people giving us water and giving us ice and telling us that everything is going to be OK.

Like today, Pascagoula and Ocean Springs got electricity. And they said it’s just a matter of hours before Gautier gets electricity, too.

BROWN: But — so, the situation for you in Biloxi isn’t comparable, is it, to the situation for the people in New Orleans.

Have you been able to follow that part of the story at all? Are you aware of what it’s been like there?

B. BASSIER: Well, today, the actually — the only reason why I came to Biloxi was because I need to get some clothes for my son and clothes for myself, because I don’t have any clothes. And, you know, I just needed to see if I can salvage something down there.”

Couldn’t have been staged right?

FEMA says no one in in LA gov’t asked for help.

“FEMA Director Michael Brown also raised Maestri’s ire when he said in a television interview Friday that he waited so long to respond because he didn’t want to interfere with local aid attempts, and that local officials hadn’t asked FEMA to come in.”

I despise them for making me feel bad!

Filed under: Execration — The Hater @ 3:45 pm

ok, now I feel some empathy for those people in New Orleans. Now that my initial anger at those who chose to stay has ebbed, i feel awful for those who tried to get out just couldnt get out. Some of the stories coming out of all of this are just heart breaking. As to those thugs shooting at helicopters and raping people, the national guard should move in and shoot them all. what a disgrace that this lawlessness is how these people chose to respond to the situation. i am not surprised though. whenever the average person is put to the test, their inate ignorance and selfishness always rise to the occasion. People never miss an opportunity to prove what losers they are.
